The #SafeSchools campaign and Joining Forces in West and Central Africa

The #SafeSchools campaign is a digital campaign which aims to highlight the impact of the crisis in the Central Sahel and Lake Chad Basin on children to ensure that their right to education is respected and that the school environment is safe and protected. The campaign is spearheaded by Joining Forces WACA (West and Central Africa) and UNICEF in West and Central Africa.

About Joining Forces WACA

Joining Forces WACA exists to promote dialogue, policy formulation and implementation with regional institutions, governments, donors, and partners to increase funding strategies and policies related to children’s rights in West and Central Africa.

While being part of the global Joining Forces Alliance, and in view of the challenges in West and Central Africa, Joining Forces WACA was set up under the Regional Directors of the six agencies: Educo/ChildFund, Plan International, Save the Children International, SOS Children’s Villages International, Terre des Hommes International and World Vision International.
